Bone morphogenetic protein receptor 2 in patients with idiopathic portal hypertension.
Background. In idiopathic portal hypertension (IPH) typical vascular lesions are present in the branches of the portal vein or in the perisinusoidal area of the liver. Similar histological alterations have been reported in the pulmonary vasculature of patients with idiopathic pulmonary hypertension (IPAH).
