Terms and Conditions Of Membership to PHA Australia.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS of phaaustralia.com.au (“this site”) is produced by the PHA Australia Inc. which is a registered non profit organisation with the Australian Taxation Office.
By visiting this site and using the information or communication forums contained within this site you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
1. Information. The Information provided on this site is for educational and personal use only and is not intended to replace sound professional medical advice. 9. Privacy & Respect Statement for Clinical Members.
 This statement is to protect & remind members of the obligations of becoming a member of the site.

The PHA Australia Clinicians Area is for the sharing of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) information between professionals. 

In joining the Clinical Area of the PHA Australia site each member as a professional agrees to keep all discussions and meetings private – transcriptions of these discussions will not be made available. Private e-mails are not to be forwarded to another member without permission of the original author.
Information in the Clinical Area will not be included in the General site area unless agreed to by a majority vote of the Clinicians. General Meeting transcriptions (if held and requested) will only be made available to members and must not be shared with non members. 
Documents uploaded to the site are done so for the purpose of sharing of information between Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension clinics and permission to use such documents must be gained from the author or authors. When and if permission is granted the original author or authors must be acknowledged by citation by the centre using the document unless this is waived in writing by the author or authors.
Uploading of articles that are not available freely via the net will not be allowed due to copyright restrictions – In this case please provide the abstract and the link for uploading for ease of searching.

Each new member will be contacted via their workplace before being admitted as a member of the Clinicians area – work designation, phone & e-mail information will be called for when you apply for membership to this site in order to verify the information provided is valid.

The information collected from your application to join this site will be used to verify that you are PAH nurse currently working with the employer stated. This check will be carried out by a clinical moderator prior to application acceptance. This is to protect the site from breaches and persons who are not active clinical nurses working with pulmonary hypertension patients joining this site.

Your details will not be displayed on the site for general contact by other clinical members. Contacting each other will be available via email unless you disclose your contact details to other clinical members.

Your information will not be disclosed or shared with any other organisation and will only be used for relevant PAH contact via a moderator or if needs be by the site administrator. 


No PHA Australia committee member is able to and will not access meeting minutes or share information from the Clinical Area with the Registered and Financial Member Areas without a majority vote of the Clinicians. This is to protect ideas from becoming public that may only be in the formative or discussion stages and may not be suitable for use in a wider forum. Some ideas and documents may only be suitable for use by the centre that devised these documents and wider publication my not be benefical.
