Pulmonary Hypertension may be known as:

Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is the general term there are different forms of Pulmonary Hypertension. Some forms are secondary to other medical conditions.  

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH), Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH), Associated Pulmonary Hypertension (APAH), Familial Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (FPAH). Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH), Portopulmonary Hypertension (POPH).

Mission Statement

The mission of Pulmonary Hypertension Australia is to provide hope, support and education, and to promote awareness and to advocate for the pulmonary hypertension community.

PHA Australia is registered non profit organisation, managed by a committee that is elected every Annual General Meeting. This committee is made up of PH patients, family members and friends.

Our main focus for this website is to provide support, create awareness and provide the latest information and research on Pulmonary Hypertension. We do this by offering members a message board for PH information as well as message boards for friendly conversation and fun. The application process although easy to navigate, must meet the approval of our moderators. This restriction keeps our site private and safe for our members.  We have two types of membership - PH Members and Clinical  Members. The site is partitioned so each section is private to the other. Ph members cannot see or comment in the clinical section and vise versa. Please see the criteria for each of these under the “Join/Donate” tab.
