 PHA Australia brings hope and a better understanding of pulmonary hypertension to many families throughout the Australia and the world, we invite 2009 into our lives with advances in PH treatment and more answers.

Pulmonary Hypertension may be known as:

Pulmonary Hypertension (PH), Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH).

Mission Statement

The mission of Pulmonary Hypertension Australia is to provide hope, support and education, and to promote awareness and to advocate for the pulmonary hypertension community.

PHA Australia is registered non profit organisation, managed by a committee that is elected every Annual General Meeting. This committee is made up of PAH patients, family members and friends.

Our main focus for this website is to provide support, create awareness and provide the latest information and research on Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. We do this by offering members a message board for PAH information as well as message boards for friendly conversation and fun. The application process although easy to navigate, must meet the approval of our moderators. This restriction keeps our site private and safe for our members.  We have three levels of membership- registered members, financial members and clinical members. Please see the criteria for each of these under the “Join/Donate” tab.

A JOINT AWARENESS CAMPAIGN BY PHA UK, PHA AUSTRALIA AND OTHER PH ASSOCIATIONS AROUND THE WORLD

This campaign is designed to raise awareness of PH and at the same time create awareness that there are support groups in your area that can help.   This campaign is a fantastic way to spread the word and raise awareness.  The campaign continues to June 2010.   You can still put your photo in the gallery to show your support for PH sufferers around the world.  Keep watching the Pucker Up 4 PH website for details of new ways to spread awareness - www.puckerup4ph.com
